Our Light Roast Hōjicha Powder is a refined expression of hōjicha. Roasted using a high temperature hot air method but at a lighter roast level, this hōjicha reveals gentle aromas of caramelised nuts, toasted grains and a subtle floral sweetness. This carefully balanced blend brings together the first and second flush leaves of Yabukita, Saemidori and Okumidori cultivars, creating a smooth, light brown powder that whisks seamlessly into water or milk.
Compared to our Dark Roast Hōjicha Powder, this version is brighter and more delicate, offering a refreshing finish with a mild roast warmth. It’s the perfect choice for those who enjoy a softer roast that highlights the natural character of the tea leaves.
